Please Read First:
During the enrollment process, we automatically create an Observer account for the primary contacts listed at registration. This account is set up using the personal email addresses you provide during this process.
If you would like an additional Observer account, please follow the following steps, but please be sure to use a different email address than the one you registered your scholar with.
Please do not create a new Observer account using the same email address, as this can cause problems when linking to your scholar's account.
Steps to making an ADDITIONAL Observer Account:
Step 1: Obtain a Pairing Code
A pairing code will associate your Canvas account with your scholar’s account, so you can communicate with teachers and observe progress.
First: Have the scholar log in to their Canvas account, click "Account" on the left ribbon, then
select "Settings"
Second: On the right side of the page, click "Pair with Observer". This will show a 6-digit
numeric code. Copy this code or write it down.
Third: Log in to your Observer Account. On the dashboard, select the drop-down menu
and select "Add". Enter the student's pairing code.

Step 2: Registering your Observer Account
To create a secondary observer account, please browse, on your computer (not your scholar's device), to https://greathearts.instructure.com/register. Click the “Parents sign up here” link, then fill out the form, including the field for the pairing code your scholar generated.

If you have multiple scholars:
Repeat the process of generating a pairing code for each additional scholar, then add the additional pairing codes from your Account > Settings > Observing link within Canvas. Detailed instructions for generating and applying additional pairing codes are available from Canvas' article: How do I link a student to my user account as an observer?
Please note that pairing codes are only valid for a single use. To register multiple parents or observers, please generate a new code for each scholar/observer combination.

Once an account is configured, @Home Facilitators can browse to https://greatheartsonline.org/canvas to log in to the web app.
