If you find a question on a Canvas quiz that is missing information, the assignment may not be completable. This is a rare occurrence but happens when a quiz has been edited after it has been published.
Here is an example of what you may see:
As shown in the example above, a portion of the question is missing. Without the proper information, this question is not answerable. The solution at this point is to make your best guess and submit the quiz. Directly after submission, you should reach out to the teacher directly to let them know there is an issue with the quiz.
If the quiz allows for multiple submissions, wait until the teacher fixes the quiz to attempt your second submission. If the quiz does not allow for a second submissions, make sure to ask the teacher to add another attempt for you if necessary.
