Joining Live Learning Zoom Meetings
(Please use the "fullscreen" button within the video player to better see details.)
1. Go to Lyceum course in Canvas.
To get to your daily live learning, navigate to your Lyceum course within Canvas. From the Lyceum course, select your homeroom teacher or section to be taken into your schedule.
Your schedule will be displayed in an interactive calendar to help you keep track of your day.
2. Click on the appropriate block for the live learning Zoom you are trying to join.
A window will pop up that includes the title, event time, and Zoom link for the meeting.
3. Click the Zoom link in the pop-up.
Please note that no passcode is set for the meeting, however, scholars can only join if logged into their Great Hearts Online scholar account.
Note: Some of our classes alternate each semester between live, teacher-led instruction via Zoom and teacher-created video recordings. We refer to these two phases of the year as “Live” and “Asynchronous.” In the calendar, subjects that alternate like this will have their subject name followed by either “live” or “asych.” If a calendar event indicates “asynch,” it will not contain a Zoom link and scholars do not need to attend a live class session. Instead, during that time period, scholars can watch their video lesson and work on Independent Practice. Live classes meet together like all other classes.
To see past or previous weeks, use the blue left and right buttons to move forward and backward.
Use the "today" button to return to the current date.
Use the down caret button to see the list of calendars that are currently being displayed.
Check the time zone that the events displayed are set to in the bottom left corner of the calendar. By default, all events on the calendar page will display in your enrolled state's time zone.
