What is a Help Center?
A Help Center (sometimes called a Knowledge Base) is a website where you can get answers to your questions and solutions to your problems. Help Centers are designed to give information for frequently asked questions, common issues, and general context about an organization. Using a Help Center can be a great solution because it means you can get help faster and at any time.
Great Hearts Online uses a Help Center to help scholars and at-home facilitators bring their school experience into their homes.
Getting to the GHO Help Center
The GHO Help Center is always reachable by navigating to GreatHeartsOnline.org/helpcenter in your browser.
The Help Center is also linked in Canvas under the "Help" section of the blue navigation bar on the left-hand side.
Signing In to the Help Center
The GHO Help Center has many scholar articles that are open to view without signing in. To see certain types of articles, get help, and track your tickets, you will need to sign in to the Help Center using your Google Workspace credentials.
Go to GreatHeartsonline.org/help and click the sign in button at the upper right-hand corner. To sign in to the Help Center, click the sign-in button at the top right corner. A pop-up will appear with two options for signing in. It is important to use the SSO (Single Sign On) option on the left side of this pop-up. After selecting sign in with Google, select or type your credentials into the appreciate fields. Once you are signed in you can see your account indicated in the upper corner of the Help Center.
A common cause for not being able to sign into the Help Center is being logged into other Google accounts or not using the "Sign in with Google" option. Please make sure that you are logged out of all other accounts in all tabs, windows, and Chrome profiles.
Using the GHO Help Center
Within the Help Center, articles are housed and organized. These articles are often interlinked and naturally lead to other relevant articles, similar to a Wiki.
Search
Use search () at the top of any page to search.
If you have a question or are experiencing an issue, the most effective way to find relevant articles is to search keywords in the Help Center to find an article. If your first search doesn't yield any results, try additional searches with alternative keywords.
Browse
From the homepage, select different topic buttons.
If you would like to see collections of articles, you are able to see lists of articles organized by topic.
All articles intended for scholars and their learning facilitators are accessible to anyone on the web. If you are unable to open a link to an article, it is most likely because you do not have permission to view it.
