Discord is a VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol/Voice Service), instant messaging, and social media platform. Users are able to communicate with others through voice/video calls, text messages, photos/video sharing in groups called "servers." (Servers are to Discord as chat rooms are to AOL.)
While some servers are private or invite-only, many servers are open for anybody to join. It is important to understand that in many circumstances, Discord servers are unmoderated and users are unverified. Discord requests all their users to be over the age of 13 and meet the minimum age of digital content in your country, however, this is not verified.
