Every scholar will receive a Google Workspace account. Although the user ID for this account is in the form of an email address, email services have been turned off for the account for scholar safety. Scholars do have access to Google Drive which includes storage, Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.
Most scholar tools and platforms use Google Workspace accounts for SSO (Single Sign-On). This includes, but is not limited to:
If a Scholar's Google Workspace password needs to be reset, please submit a request on the Help Center.
Check Google Account on Chrome Browser
From your Google Chrome Browser, you can check what Google Account you are using. Most websites will detect what Google account you are using in your Chrome Profile and assume this is the Google account you want to use for websites visited. It is possible to be logged into a website using one Google account while your browser is logged into another. In this case, you will want to check which account your browser is logged into with the steps listed in this section.
In the example below, the browser window on the left shows the user being logged into the GHO Help Center with one Google account but the Chrome browser with a different Google account. The browser window on the right-hand side shows the user being logged into both the Chrome Browser profile and GHO Help Center with the same account.
In your Google Chrome browser, look at the upper right-hand corner. Click on the portrait photo to see more details about which account you are logged into. Here you will find the name of the profile, the name on the account, the account email, other profiles, and add profile button.
Please ensure that you are logged into your GHO Google Workspace account here (ending in @GreatHeartsOnline.org). If needed, you can switch to the GHO account in the "Other profiles" section or add it by using the "add profile" button.
