Viewing Grades from Dashboard Card View (Student or Observer Accounts)

There are several ways to check grades in Canvas. The simplest way to access all of your child's grades in one place in either a Student or an Observer account is to start from the Dashboard Card View.

On the far right side of the screen, click the gray "View Grades" button.

You will see a page that shows the overall grades for each subject. To see grades for individual assignment for a single course, click on the name of the course right on this page.

You will then see a page that shows the status (missing, excused, late, etc.) and score for assignment for that subject course.

On this page, you can also view teachers' comments on an assignment by clicking on the comment icon on the far right.

Viewing Grades from Dashboard List View (Student Accounts Only)

When viewing the Dashboard List View (available ONLY for student accounts), start by clicking on the small gradebook icon in the upper, righthand corner of the screen.

The gradebook icon will pull up a tray on the right-hand side of the screen that shows the overall grades for each subject. To see grades for individual assignment for a single course, click on the name of the course right on this page.
